The Master’s Program in Marine Science, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Diponegoro University, successfully conducted a Proposal Thesis Examination for a master’s student, Deno Ferdian, on Monday, 26 January 2026. This examination is a mandatory academic stage that must be completed prior to the implementation of the thesis research.

During the examination, Deno Ferdian presented his proposed thesis entitled “Geospatial Assessment of the Coastal Vulnerability Index Based on the InVEST Model for Evaluating the Impacts of Coastal Development in Jepara Regency from 2005 to 2025.” The proposed research aims to analyze the level of coastal vulnerability in Jepara Regency using a geospatial approach and the InVEST model, as a basis for evaluating coastal development impacts and supporting sustainable coastal management.

The proposal examination was conducted under the supervision of the thesis advisors, Dr. Muhammad Helmi, S.Si., M.Si. and Dr. Elis Indrayanti, ST., M.Si. The examination committee consisted of Dr. Ir. Sugeng Widada, M.Si. and Dr. Aris Ismanto, S.Si., M.Si.

Through this proposal examination, the student received constructive feedback, suggestions, and academic guidance from the advisors and examiners to refine the research framework. It is expected that this study will provide both scientific and practical contributions to coastal and marine management, particularly in Jepara Regency.
